The Brand New Studio of Crusaders Broadcasting System is Now Operational!

After several months of planning and construction, the brand new studios of Crusaders Broadcasting System, or CBS is now fully operational. Launched at midday of October 18, the new facility ushers in a new chapter in the station’s storied history. DWAD 1098AM has been in broadcasting service for nearly half a century. The station’s current moniker is Now Radio (a nod and homage to its origins as Radio Ngayon).

Equipped with digital consoles, classic broadcast gear, state-of-the-art software, and full online capability, the new CBS studio is more than ready to continue its terrestrial operations. In keeping up with new and emerging platforms, DWAD is also very much in the digital ecosystem. Through its Facebook page, the station’s programs are streamed and listeners/viewers may engage. A website further bolsters its online presence as a resource site.

The studio launch (held under strict health protocols) was attended by no less than the Members of the Board, as well as the on-air broadcast staff. Notably present were Myrapaz Abigail D. Pestaño (President and Chairwoman of the Board), Engr. Joselito M. Pestaño (Secretary and Station Manager), Ma. Elomena Chloe D. Pestaño-Cataniag (Treasurer), Ma. Catherine D. Pestaño (General Manager) and Joselito Joshua D. Pestaño II (Operations Officer). The occasion was highlighted by a blessing of the new studio premises, followed by remarks from the President and Chairwoman of the Board, Myrapaz Abigail D. Pestaño.

The planning, design, and construction of the new CBS studios were helmed by Joselito Joshua D. Pestaño II.
